Canopy Keepers
The untold story of Australia's tall forests and the people fighting to protect them

Canopy Keepers, due to be published in 2025, will be a hardcover coffee table book and accompanying audio narrative series documenting the tall forests of Australia and the people fighting to protect them.
Over 240 pages, with a mixture of portrait photography, interviews, and historical material, we aim to celebrate the scientists, artists, activists and ordinary community campaigners behind forest conservation in Australia.

GONDWANA BURNING

Between August 2019 and January 2020, catastrophic bushfires raged through Australia's ordinarily wet and lush forests, eventually burning over 5.5 million hectares in NSW. Overwhelmingly, these were destructive fires, pushing the evolutionary boundaries of what Australia's fire-adapted ecosystems have evolved to withstand. Scientists, conservationists, nature lovers of all kinds, and ordinary citizens asked 'How did we get here?' and 'Where to now?'

Gondwana Burning is a collection of writing which recounts the horror, and pays homage to the millions of years of evolution lost in the ashes.

Like diary entries from the end of the world, Gondwana Burning brings together environmental science and personal narrative in what is ultimately a powerful journey through ecological grief
